Yuchan Iizuka is a Japanese aerial and variety artist based in Berlin, Germany. Born and raised in Tokyo, she began studying classical ballet at the age of eight. At fifteen, she moved to Europe to pursue her professional dance training, laying the foundation for her international artistic career.

With over ten years of professional stage experience, Yuchan brings together the refined elegance of classical ballet and the strength and dynamism of aerial acrobatics. After performing with ballet companies for several years, she transitioned into aerial performance in 2018, developing a distinctive movement style that combines clean lines, musical sensitivity, and powerful technique.

Her signature act, Ballet Straps, merges the grace of ballet with the intensity of aerial straps, creating a unique and expressive visual language on stage. The piece reflects her cross-disciplinary background and her dedication to blending tradition with innovation.

In addition to Ballet Straps, Yuchan performs ground pole, aerial hoop, and aerial silks, allowing her to adapt to a wide range of productions and artistic concepts while maintaining her recognizable elegance and technical precision.

She has performed internationally at renowned circus festivals and productions, including the Salieri Circus Award, Almaty Circus Festival, Albacete Circus Festival, and Regensburger Weihnachtscircus, where her work has been recognized for both artistic quality and technical excellence.

As both creator and performer, she continuously explores new ways to expand the expressive possibilities of contemporary circus, combining discipline, artistry, and emotional depth in each performance.

Outside of her artistic career, Yuchan also works as a software engineer, bringing analytical precision and structural thinking into dialogue with her creative practice.
